If you only know these guys from their '76 power-pop classic, Shake Some Action, prepare to be surprised. 1970's Flamingo boasts two minor masterpieces (''Comin' After Me,'' ''Second Cousin'') and a lovably loopy rockabilly aesthetic; Head, from 1971, is a cornucopia of hard-edged, Stonesy rock, capped by that great, proto-punk title track. Factor in the bonus cuts (mostly '50s oldies), and you've got all the ingredients for a Groovies kind of love. Flamingo: A-
