IT'S ALL IN THE TIMING

Though the film was once considered for a summer 2000 release, The X-Men probably won't save the world until late November. (One delay: Scott is still finishing up Paramount's Mission: Impossible 2, now shooting with Tom Cruise in Australia). As Rothman says, "If I had to guess, I'd say X-Men for Xmas."
