Lead Performance: Bad Company; Genre: Reissues
B
While never on a par with '70s contemporaries Led Zep or Lynyrd Skynyrd, these British medium-hard rockers made stern, lean headbanging rock. This two-disc set features most of their best songs, plus worthy outtakes like ''Superstar Woman.'' But despite the power of moments like ''Bad Company'' and ''Shooting Star,'' the thin, samey sound has aged poorly. The four new tracks by the reunited original lineup make them sound like good Black Crowes imitators. B
