The most Scorsesean of Martin Scorsese's films is the 1976 classic Taxi Driver in which the director and screenwriter Paul Schrader loosed De Niro's Underground Man on a New York City made nightmarishly baroque by raw corruption and aching alienation. This digitally remastered edition includes a sharp behind-the-scenes documentary — 20 minutes on the tape, 70 on disc — that turns up tidbits ranging from Foster's tales of rehearsing with De Niro to the costume designer's scoop on the making of Travis Bickle's Mohawk.
