Lead Performance: Will Smith

In the grand tradition of MC Hammer's ''U Can't Touch This'' (not to mention his own ''Gettin' Jiggy Wit It''), Will Smith cannibalizes a classic in an effort to score a chart bull's-eye with ''Wild Wild West''. This time, though, he's not just recontextualizing Rick James or Sister Sledge, but Stevie Wonder, whose ''I Wish'' is put to embarrassingly crass use. Sorta makes you wish Jiggy Willie had simply sampled Escape Club's 1988 novelty ''Wild Wild West'' and been done with it. C
