If this doesn't quite return the rockers to their early-'90s championship form, it at least gets 'em back in the game. Dipping deeply into hip-hop and Latin grooves, the Docs once again prove that their strength is loose-limbed funk. Whenever singer-lyricist Chris Barron reins in his florid, pretentious side, the band cooks. There's a lesson in Here Comes the Bride; maybe they'll learn it yet. B-
