Frank McCourt's 1996 autobiography Angela's Ashes began a cottage industry: His and brother Malachy's play A Couple of Blaguards has been revived, and Malachy's memoir A Monk Swimming came out. Now there's the high-class home movie The McCourts of Limerick, with reminiscences by the four surviving McCourt brothers, who evince a refreshingly acerbic attitude toward their miserable childhood, though the insights are few.
