KELLY WILLIS What I Deserve (Rykodisc) Her album's title notwithstanding, what this gifted singer-songwriter certainly did not deserve was the overproduced dross that marked her previous three efforts with MCA Nashville: Buried under all the molasses was a clear-as-moonshine voice that suggested both experience and discovery. Fortunately, Willis is far better served here, artfully melding the sturm und twang of her country upbringing with the plaintive grit of roots rock -- and throwing in, for good measure, cuts by Paul Westerberg and Nick Drake.
