The namesake of the U.K. label that birthed Oasis was a bunch of British Invaders who should've been contenders alongside the Who (whose producer Shel Talmy they shared) and the Stones (whose Ron Wood was once a member). Alas, their ballsy, sneering neo-psychedelia never hit the jackpot, and the admirable 1966-'68 sessions on The Complete Collection are left to tell the tale. Well notated, but points off for splitting what should've been a double CD. Both volumes: B+
