L.A. may not get a nekkid Nicole Kidman, but its stage scene does boast other stars in their skivvies. The foremost teddy bearer is Teri Hatcher (TV's Lois & Clark), who adequately headlines a Cabaret road show that's faithful to the exaggerated sleaze of the stunning revival on Broadway (both productions are directed by Sam Mendes and Rob Marshall). Compared with Natasha Richardson, who won a Tony for her work in New York last year, Hatcher makes for a harder, slicker, more seriously glam Sally Bowles; going from blithe to angry as she belts the title song, she's pure Woman of Steel. Given this less vulnerable take, we may join the Emcee (Norbert Butz) in singing ''I Don't Care Much'' about Sally's fate, but the pre-Holocaust musical is still shattering. B+
