Ever watch a movie and want to ask the director, ''What were you thinking?'' Drop the DVD of MGM's Ronin into your computer's DVD-ROM drive, and you can. On March 14 at 8 p.m. (EST), director John Frankenheimer will go online to discuss the filming after his commentary, storyboards, and ''making of'' video have downloaded into a custom browser while scenes play off the DVD. MGM anticipates additional Internet shows around the Ronin DVD and is eyeing a similar stunt for the next James Bond film. Since Frankenheimer started in live TV, it's fitting he's on the bleeding edge of digital entertainment. Just don't ask about The Island of Dr. Moreau.
