Yes, playwright-screenwriter Kenneth Lonergan (This Is Our Youth, Analyze This) provides amusing moments, but the final scenes — like the last days of many elderly people — are so uncompromising they're painful to watch. Attention must be paid, however, to star Eileen Heckart, who takes on a demanding role at age 80 and turns in a heartbreaking performance. B
