(Viking, $23.95) Squeaky-clean reminiscences abound in this memoir by the woman who played the eldest of the Von Trapp children in the beloved 1965 movie. Now 57 going on 58, Carr doesn't do much mudslinging, but devoted Sound of Music fanatics will find plenty of behind-the-gazebo tidbits. Among them: that makeup artists literally taped the sides of the Reverend Mother's head for an ''instant face-lift'' and that Mia Farrow and Teri Garr also auditioned for the part of Liesl. All in all, as fluffy as a pair of warm woolen mittens. B
