A kitschy Scottish hairdresser (Craig Ferguson) comes to L.A. to enter a styling competition and wins over a jaded town with the ebullience of his Scottish kitschiness. This bleached comedy indulges in campy tee-heeing more Happy, Texas than Waiting for Guffman; the one bit of color comes from Frances Fisher in a dead-on performance as a brittle Hollywood publicist.
