Ty Burr is a writer at large for EW and is no relation to Raymond or Aaron
Ewan McGregor plays a surveillance geek who finds, falls for, and follows psychotic (but nice!) murderess Ashley Judd across the country. This sub-Hitchcockian misfire, adapted from the 1980 Marc Behm cult thriller, starts out confusingly and goes downhill. By the end, there's not much for viewers to do but give themselves over to the whims of the bad-movie gods. D
