Universal Pictures chairman Stacey Snider confirms that the actress will most likely replace Jodie Foster as FBI agent Clarice Starling in Hannibal, the Silence of the Lambs sequel. Snider says a few contractual details remain to be worked out with the Oscar-nominated Moore (The End of the Affair), but the Ridley Scott-directed movie is ''95 percent'' greenlit, and could start shooting as early as June 7 with a budget in the $70 million range. ''Julianne has great credibility as an actress,'' says Snider. Anthony Hopkins will return as the titular cannibal, and — yes, fright fans — we'll also get another glimpse of that stomach-churning mask. Says Snider, ''It was such a part of the iconography of the first film.''
