Details Lead Performance: M2M; Genre: Pop

Norwegian teens Marion Raven and Marit Larsen — together M2M — cowrite some of the most incontrovertible pop since ABBA, thanks to a power lineup of writers and producers. In Shades of Purple, the songs start slow and breathy and build to mid-tempo and breathy, and the girls' voices can climb into dog-whistle range. But their precise Euro-dance pop (''Don't Say You Love Me,'' also on the Pokémon soundtrack) is fun, fun, fun, and behind the lip gloss is enough insecurity to charm. B
