SOLD Whole Lot of Nothing! Palatial estate in celeb-friendly Amagansett, N.Y. PRICE An estimated $30 million
Jerry Seinfeld will be master of a much bigger domain: He just spent a not-so-junior mint to buy Billy Joel's French-chateau-style house in the tony Hamptons. Seinfeld and new bride Jessica Sklar will have the run of the 12-acre property, which includes a guest house, two pools, and a 1700s-era barn. (Joel, who bought the oceanfront home in the mid-'80s with then wife Christie Brinkley, is moving to Long Island's quieter North Shore.) No agents handled the private deal, meaning no big-bucks commissions. But Paul Reiser, who introduced Seinfeld and Joel, may want to ask for a cut.
