Decorating Buffy's room--The vampire slayer has a chocolate pinup

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Sarah Michelle Gellar) is not your average coed. That's why when it came time to decorate her dorm room, Monet's Waterlilies or Klimt's The Kiss — both mocked in the season opener — just wouldn't do. ''I had to avoid the obvious to make it interesting,'' says Buffy set decorator David Koneff, ''but my choice couldn't be so wacky that it was unbelievable.'' Koneff's solution was Chocolate, photographed by Naomi Weissman and produced by Ten Speed Press ($20), which launched the food pinup trend a few years back with Mark Miller's Great Chili poster. (The posters have also appeared on The X-Files and in the new movie Final Destination.) But is Chocolate more than decoration? Is dessert the slayer's only real weakness? ''We've never made any direct comments about Buffy or Willow's deep-seated chocolate addictions,'' says Koneff. ''But if they're anything like my wife — who has a withdrawal fit if I don't bring home a pound once a month — I'm sure they suffer a similar sweet tooth.''
