''We'll take Outraged Game Show Producers for $200, Alex!'' The makers of Jeopardy! recently sent a cease-and-desist letter to Shape the Debate, the conservative group behind a new TV ad attacking Al Gore. The problem? The spot features a quiz show called Hypocrisy, an Alex Trebek-like host, and a board of trivia about ''Political Hypocrites.'' (The correct response, of course, is always ''Who is Al Gore?'') ''We were furious,'' says Andrew Kaplan, exec VP of Jeopardy! producer Columbia TriStar Television. ''It's copyrighted.... And they agreed to pull the ads.'' Shape the Debate president George Gorton responds that the law is on his side, but the Jeopardy! gang ''has more money for attorneys than I do.'' No word on whether the Gore campaign plans to air Who Wants to Be a Texas Millionaire.
