ABC's Making the Band is the newest boy-band attraction. The draw? Trying to figure out which of the eight real-life hopefuls will become the five members of O-Town. ''It's become an obsession,'' gushes New York City dot-com-er Lynda Thomas, 24, who attends viewing parties. (FYI, March 19's L.A. Times spoiled the surprise.)
