Mike Figgis (Time Code) is one of the most
eclectic, electric filmmakers working today, and he's found his
muse in Deep Blue Sea's Burrows. With Miss Julie, he takes an August
Strindberg play set in 1894 Sweden and juices it to life with
dynamic camera work and savvy casting. Ah, but Burrows is a cruel
mistress, forcing her footman (Phil Hartman doppelganger Mullan)
into a degrading affair. Don't, Miss Julie! And don't miss Julie.
