August Wilson has set out to document the African-American journey decade by decade, and Jitney an expanded version of his first play gets him one step closer. Here, he returns to Pittsburgh (his hometown), and the men at a gypsy-cab company, circa 1977. Though not Wilson's edgiest, it's surely his funniest work. B+
