Stone Fortress! 1 BR, 2 BTH home near L.A.'s Laurel Canyon PRICE $618,000

Oscar-nominated clotheshorse Sharon Stone has fewer closets for her red-carpet wardrobe. The screen muse sold this security-laden house to a Realtor. She bought the 1,900-square-foot bungalow in 1989 for $600,000 (at a peak in the L.A. real estate market) and turned it into a stalker's nightmare: steel front door, steel shutters on all the windows, surveillance cameras, and a high cement wall. (Beth Styne of Coldwell Banker Previews had the listing.) Mrs. Phil Bronstein, who spends much of her time in San Francisco with hubby, still keeps a Beverly Hills mansion.
