This ''No Scrubs''-ish tune gets no points for originality, but that doesn't really matter; ''Doesn't Really Matter'' delivers in just about every other way. Produced by longtime Janet collaborators Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the first single from the soundtrack to Nutty Professor II: The Klumpsslides nicely from a half-time, stutter-beat verse to a memorably singsongy chorus, on which Janet's restrained cooing lets the melody do all the work.
