Forget lighters (or cell phones, like in that Celine Dion ad for Ericsson); these days concertgoers reach for glow sticks. The wands, which typically retail for under $5, were sold out at 'N Sync's tour kickoff in Biloxi, Miss., while fans waved 65,000 of them at 'N Sync, Sisqo, Enrique Iglesias, and Jessica Simpson at KIIS-FM's Wango Tango 2000 show in L.A. ''Ravers made it popular, and it's just been seeping into the mainstream,'' says Theresa Choi of NYC club Irving Plaza. Or at least the pop crowd: ''We had Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, and Aerosmith, and there were positively no glow sticks,'' laughs Jennifer Pyron of the Mississippi Coast Coliseum. ''Those were older crowds, and there were lots of lighters.''
