Miss Muffy and the Muff Mob

The animation wizards at Bullseye Art have combined Crayola-bright cartoons with a swath of button-nosed tots and thrown in...some bustin' rhymes? Sounds silly, but the carefully concocted Strawberry Shortcake/gangsta girl hybrid that is Miss Muffy and the Muff Mob (www.bullseyeart.com) is endearing — glassy bug eyes, pallid faces, and R-rated trash talking aside. Follow Miss Muffy and her baking buddies Betty Bundtcake, Cinnama Bunz, Keisha Cornbread, and Patty Poundcake through their confectionary-odyssey-as-music-video, ''Lubin' da Hole Wit 'Sco'' (minds out of the gutter, kids, it's about preparing muffin tins with Crisco), where the poss' raps chirpily to the tune of Snoop Dogg's ''Gin and Juice.'' To get a full taste of the mob's oven-fresh goodness, check out the longer movie, then play a few games of Whack-a-Muffin. The original Strawberry Shortcake may have the Kenner Toys gang on her back, but groove-wise these dulcet divas put her to shame. A-
