Male weepies get a bad name from this embarrassing hokum about a stroke-impaired ex-boxer (Douglas) who bonds with his estranged son (Aykroyd) and teenage grandson on a road trip to Reno. En route, they win big at a casino, battle a mugger, and bare their souls to some golden-hearted hookers -- but the only genuine emotion comes from Douglas, who overcame his own 1996 stroke to give a robust, moving performance in a movie that simply doesn't deserve it.
