Drug flicks and Jesus allegories are tough enough to pull off on their own; Alison Maclean's junkie odyssey Jesus's Son is both. Good thing she landed the sublime Crudup to play the lead, a '70s-era drifter (identified only as F---head) who breezes Gumpishly in and out of peoples' lives. Maclean goes easy on the needle shtick and shepherds FH towards an epiphany that's as credible as it is brilliantly staged. A-
