If pillow fighting were an Olympic event, Hollywood would've walked away with the gold last weekend. After all, Keanu Reeves' tepid thriller The Watcher scraped up a mere $5.8 million and still managed to limp away with the top spot, just edging out the chum-scented arrival of Jamie Foxx's Bait. The Watcher's dubious achievement makes it the lowest-grossing No. 1 film in more than three years. But it wasn't all bad vibes at the multiplex: The '70s-era rock & roll saga Almost Famous kicked out the jams in its limited opening with a rousing $17,669 per-screen average. Looks like DreamWorks is using the same word-of-mouth game plan that enabled last year's American Beauty to step to the top of Oscar's victory stand.
