Tired of waiting for that new Backstreet Boys album? Well, fans of Australian indie-pop pioneers The Go-Betweens have been on hold for 12 years. Now they've returned with The Friends of Rachel Worth, ably backed by Sleater-Kinney and other Portland notables. The disc successfully combines the looseness of early Go-Betweens work like Before Hollywood with the songcraft of later triumphs like Tallulah, and while it may not quite be worth the wait, Worth is a rich addition to their underappreciated catalog.
