Breakout: Dido

The ''Here with Me'' singer is sample on Eminem's ''Stan''

AGE: 28
THE BUZZ
Along with singing the unofficial Roswell anthem (''Here With Me''), this literary agent-turned-singer achieved ''who's that?'' status last week by appearing on Saturday Night Live with Eminem, who samples her ''Thank You'' on his celeb-stalker diatribe ''Stan.''
DISCOVERY
After impressing Arista Records' diva-spotter Clive Davis, Dido Armstrong was signed to the label's U.K. division in 1997 (her first name comes from The Aeneid).
HAS SHE SEEN ROSWELL?
''It's good, but I don't have the patience to stick with a series. The only thing I love is The Sopranos.''
ON THE CONTROVERSIAL EMINEM
His album ''doesn't offend me. I listen to it and I hear a story. He's a storyteller.... He just happens to write about things that are darker.''
FYI
Just hours after SNL, a family emergency had Armstrong racing home to England (according to Dido, all is now fine).
NEXT
Stops on the Limp Bizkit/Eminem tour, a role in the ''Stan'' video, and a U.K. release for No Angel, which just hit Billboard's top 50 in the U.S.
