There's always room for another good singer, however conservative, in the jazz pool, and Jane Monheit fits the bill. At 22, she has a disarmingly no-nonsense approach on ''Dindi'' and the title tune of Never Never Land, allowing grace, precision, and swing-like phrasing to deliver the musical message. Deftly backed by pianist Kenny Barron and bassist Ron Carter, Monheit though still in development is one to watch. B
