Web-sters can learn a valuable lesson from punk rock, where a little do-it-yourself motivation takes even amateurs far. Perhaps Search and Destroy (www.trashsurfin.de) webmaster Andy Ramone was thinking about DIY (and the lyrics to the Iggy & the Stooges song that lends its name to this search engine) when creating his punk-rock Web project. Search and Destroy is far from perfect (good luck finding any big-name contemporary bands), but with a decent selection of links to older bands, zines, news sources, and punk history, it's one combat-booted stomp in the right direction.
