Power Plays

Goosehead.com -- Ashley Power's entertainment network has spawned a reality show, book, and more

Ashley Power, girl wonder, is at it again. The 15-year-old CEO and cofounder of teen entertainment network Goosehead.com has signed a first-look development deal with MGM Television Entertainment — a pact that led to a pilot script order from Showtime for Whatever, the slice-of-teen-life Web series Power cocreated.

The ambitious Valley girl is slated to star in the hour-long weekly TV comedy-drama. She'll also write and produce with stepfather/businessman and Goosehead cofounder Mark Schilder. Says MGM Television Entertainment president Hank Cohen: ''[Whatever] speaks to the demographic that Ashley's trying to reach, in an organic voice that other shows can't.''

And get this: Power's autobiography, A Goosehead Guide to Life, is scheduled for a summer release by Disney's Hyperion Books. The high school sophomore is also developing projects with Richard Dreyfuss; a talk show, Goosehead TV; a feature film; and a reality show. Despite it all, Power insists, ''I'm just a normal 15-year-old girl.'' Yeah, whatever.
