In this tidy moral metaphor about scientific arrogance run amok, Bacon literally loses sight of himself and his humanity as both the bad-boy head of a government-funded project to develop an invisibility serum and its first human subject. Crummy acting and preposterous dialogue garnered Paul Verhoeven's science-horror flick critical boos upon its release, but it's a cheesy hoot on the small screen, with impressive digital effects and rivetingly gooshy gross-outs. B-
