Blind Faith: Deluxe Edition

EW's GRADE

Talk about potential: This short-lived 1969 ''supergroup'' united Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, and Ginger Baker, yet after a fine, if uneven, debut album and a shaky U.S. tour, the band was soon history. This for-collectors-only set brings a remastered edition of Blind Faith together with some intriguing unreleased cuts -- a slow blues version of ''Sleeping in the Ground'' is a highlight -- and a full disc of tantalizing, if ultimately meandering, jams that promise much more than they deliver. Sort of like 1969 all over again. B
