CRIME + PUNISHMENT IN SUBURBIA
Monica Keena, Vincent

Like a WB rip-off of American Beauty, this empty-headed psychodrama casts Dawson's Creek castoff Keena as a morose teen bedeviled by gothically miserable parents (Ellen Barkin and Michael Ironside) and a creepy-voyeur classmate (Kartheiser). The title's copped from Dostoyevsky, but anybody who wastes their money renting such crap will feel like the main character in another of the Russian writer's works: The Idiot. D
