Clean, conservative, Footloose-style 1980s teenage sexuality is back in this wan, formulaic Romeo and Juliet story in which girl (Julia Stiles) meets boy (Sean Patrick Thomas) on the club dance floor, and hip-hop their way to maturity. They both learn that you should never give up on your dreams and that love is all you need, but the story is afraid to pump up the volume on compelling issues of interracial romance. C-
