Like whacked-out Mickey Rooneys and Judy Garlands, director John Waters' motley band of ''guerrilla'' filmmakers led by Dorff's eponymous gonzo auteur -- put on their own show, kidnapping mainstream movie star Honey Whitlock (Griffith) to do it. The film has its moments the gang trashes a multiplex and shoots up the set of Gump Again, starring Kevin Nealon but Hollywood dreck is an easy target, and it's never clear what, exactly, these kids want to replace it with. They have their causes: pro-porn, anti-MPAA ratings, but in the end, the art they're fighting for is just plain bad. C
