Cons get shivved. Inmates break into gangs. Hard-timers spit tough-guy lines and find camaraderie in the unlikeliest of places. In fact, the only surprises in Steve Buscemi's jailhouse drama are the appalling continuity errors (Kazaam! That unlit cigarette is smoldering) and twisted casting (four words: Tom Arnold, prison rapist). The movie's serviceable enough, but so familiar to fans of Oz that one has to wonder: Does anybody in Hollywood watch television anymore? C+
