Make no mistake: Despite energetic support from Gideon's Crossing's Braugher (as a high-minded hitman) and The Matrix's Joe Pantoliano (as a one-armed ''finder of lost s---''), the real star here is writer-director Wiper, who cast himself as a Chicago cop on the run from the Mob. As an actor, the chiseled Wiper makes a perfectly serviceable direct-to-video lead. As an auteur, he's yet another Tarantino wannabe, predictably mixing hollow quips with emptied clips. C+
