Too much me, not enough Ted. This score-settling memoir by Schonfeld, founding president of CNN (a division of AOL Time Warner, which also owns EW), springs to wacky life whenever ex-partner Ted Turner enters -- as in scenes from the net's cash-strapped early days, when Turner would allegedly ''pull a gun out of his desk drawer, hold it to his head, and say to the potential lender, 'I might as well pull this trigger. If you don't give me the money, I'm dead anyway.''' Yet when Schonfeld, fired by Turner in 1982, spends entire chapters recounting how he oversaw the fledgling channel's coverage of the Falklands War or Anwar Sadat's assassination, it merely reads like old news.
