Ben (Barr) is a Parisian morgue employee who has sex with a DOA drug abuser (Bouchez), and somehow brings her back to life. What follows is a strangely passive tug-of-war between numbness (his) and desire (hers), as they seek emotional connections at orgies, rave clubs, and S&M parlors. This meditation on sex and death in the shadow of HIV is often obscure -- but worth watching for Bouchez, who's magnetic as an oddly innocent sexual adventurer. C+
