Christ has risen again and again, at least on film, but never with a more It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Resurrection roster of cameos (Angela Lansbury, Sidney Poitier, and more -- all virtually ignored by director-producer George Stevens' piously indifferent lens). As told here, the story itself certainly isn't the most compelling version of the Gospels, but the restored print is a testament to the power of Ultra Panavision. B
