EXPECTING Dysfunctional Fox family man Christopher Titus, 36, and his nursing-student wife of 10 years, Erin, 36, are expecting their first child in August.... Titus' sitcom girlfriend, Cynthia Watros, 32, and her writer husband Curt Gilliland, 39, will also be first-time parents this summer; they're expecting twins.

BIRTHS Baby, baby: After a year of marriage, gospel-popster Amy Grant, 40, and country crooner Vince Gill, 43, welcomed 7-pound 9-ounce Corrina Grant Gill, March 12, in Nashville. Grant has three children with her ex-husband, singer Gary Chapman; Gill has a daughter with his ex-wife, singer Janis Gill.... On March 6, The Practice's Camryn Manheim, 40, gave birth to 9-pound 2-ounce Milo Jacob, her first child. Manheim is single and has not disclosed the father's identity.

WEDDINGS On March 10, actress Lauren Holly, 37, and thirtysomething banker Francis Greco tied the knot in a Toronto church. It's Greco's first marriage; Holly divorced Jim Carrey in 1997, and Anthony Quinn's actor son Danny in 1993.

COURTS Aloha, Every Woman. On March 5, a Hilo, Hawaii, judge dismissed misdemeanor pot-possession charges against Whitney Houston, 37. The charges stemmed from a Jan. 11 incident at Hawaii's Kona airport, during which the diva and her husband, R&B bad boy Bobby Brown, 32, were stopped when airport personnel allegedly discovered marijuana in her bag.... Citing First Amendment protections, a Louisiana judge on March 12 threw out a lawsuit alleging that Oliver Stone's 1994 film Natural Born Killers inspired a 1995 shooting rampage that killed a Mississippi man and left Louisiana convenience-store clerk Patsy Byers paralyzed. Byers' family sued the filmmaker, claiming her convicted attackers -- Sarah Edmonson and Ben Darras, now both 24 -- were influenced by the film's telegenic couple, who went on a murderous crime spree. Edmonson and Darras are serving lengthy prison sentences; Byers died of cancer in 1997.

DEATHS Novelist Robert Ludlum, 73, who spun complex tales of Cold War espionage in more than 20 best-sellers, of cardiac arrest, March 12, in Naples, Fla. A film version of his 1980 thriller The Bourne Identity, starring Matt Damon, is in production.... In-your-face '80s talk-show host Morton Downey Jr., 67, of lung cancer and other respiratory problems, March 12, in L.A. He became an antismoking activist after losing a lung to cancer in 1996.... British Royal Ballet founder Dame Ninette de Valois, 102, whose celebrated ballets include The Rake's Progress, March 8, in London.... Two-time Tony nominee Edward Winter, 63, who played the paranoid CIA operative Colonel Flagg on TV's M*A*S*H, of Parkinson's disease, March 8, in Woodland Hills, Calif.... Big-band leader Frankie Carle, 97, who cowrote the hit ''Sunrise Serenade,'' of undisclosed causes, March 7, in Mesa, Ariz.
