As far as Travolta flicks go, The General's Daughter had more laughs. The star smirks his way through Nora Ephron's witless LUCKY NUMBERS as a cash-strapped weatherman who conspires with a local lottery girl (a shockingly unlikable Kudrow) to rig the Pennsylvania sweepstakes. The title couldn't be less apt: This cynical sour ball brings nothing but bad luck to everyone involved especially the audience.
