She also starred on TV's The Ann Sothern Show in the late '50s and was the voice of My Mother the Car in the '60s.... Country fiddler Benny Martin, 72, of congestive heart failure, March 13, in Madison, Tenn. Martin, who invented the eight-string fiddle, played with such legends as Roy Acuff and toured briefly with Elvis Presley.... Sportswriter Phil Berger, 58, who scripted last year's boxing film Price of Glory, of colon cancer, March 12, in Jackson Heights, N.Y.... Former NBC TV president Robert T. Howard, 73, who oversaw the debut of Little House on the Prairie and Saturday Night Live, of heart disease, March 11, in New York City.... Emmy-winning composer Richard Stone, 47, whose frantic scores enlivened cartoons like Animaniacs, of pancreatic cancer, March 9, in L.A.... Singer Glenn Hughes, 50, the leather-clad biker in the original Village People, of lung cancer, March 5, in New York City. Hughes was buried in his leather outfit.... Actress Peggy Converse (The Accidental Tourist), 95, of heart failure, March 2, in L.A.
