Kevin Smith can keep a secret. Sort of. Pressed to confirm that Matt Damon will reprise his breakthrough role as Boston brainiac Will Hunting in Smith's upcoming Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, the geek auteur of Clerks is coy. ''If Matty ever deigned to be in another of our lousy pictures,'' hints Smith (who directed Damon in Dogma), ''I'm sure he would've had a great time revisiting one of his most memorable performances -- particularly if Ben [Affleck] were involved as well, and they were both speaking in weird, South Boston accents. But what are the chances of that?'' Very good, since Affleck is confirmed to be in the August release. But as for a rumored cameo by a onetime Jedi Knight, Star Wars fan Smith is back to mind games. ''If Mark Hamill was indeed in this picture, he would be playing a character called C -- k-Knocker.'' Guess it won't be a family film.
