This remake of the '70s LaBelle stomper goes the all-star route: four pop-R&B divas, one diva coproducer (Missy Elliott). But even with Aguilera keeping her shriek in check and a faithful duplication of the LaBelle arrangement, ''Lady Marmalade'' (part of the soundtrack for the upcoming Nicole Kidman flick Moulin Rouge) feels cluttered next to the steamy original. And maybe it's a sign of the times, but ''Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?'' sounds awfully tame now.
